Murray Elementary School SBDM Minutes – November 28, 2016
(I) The Murray Elementary School SBDM met Monday, November 28, 2016 in Mrs. Powell’s room of Murray Elementary. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Whitaker. Members in attendance were Chuck Blanchard, Dana Henry, Jenn King, Maeve McCarthy, Riza Marjadi, and Nancy Newsome.

(II) MSU visitors introduced themselves.

(III) The agenda was reviewed by Council members. Council members agreed by consensus to accept the November 28, 2016 agenda as read.

(IV) The October 24, 2016 minutes were reviewed by Council members. Council members agreed by consensus to accept October 24, 2016 minutes after one correction.

(V) The Council reviewed and approved the Budget Reports.

(VI) Principal’s Report included: Kindergarten Brigance scores and Future Tiger Night, MAP and Aims Web testing, and the December calendar

(VII) New Business included; reviewing, discussing and approving the 2017 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Discussion included parents like MAP information with scores and strategies to help children on emails and newsletters.

(VIII) There were no Parent comments, questions, and/or suggestions.

(IX) A teacher asked for an additional corner gate on the playground to get the kick balls that go over the fence.

(X) Council members agreed by consensus to adjourn.
