MMS LEGO Robotics Team Recipient of $2,000 Funding

MMS LEGO Robotics Receives Funding

The Murray Middle School LEGO Robotics Team were the recipient of a $2,000 gift from the TN Valley Robotics Fund, made possible by the Tennessee Valley Authority and Murray Electric. 

Through retired TVA Employees the TN Valley Robotics Fund was established to assist Robotics Teams in Kentucky schools.  The 2023 awards were presented to 15 Kentucky School District totaling $50,000.

Mechelle Morgan, MISD Director Instructional Technology, said the MISD is appreciative.  "We are so thankful for the support of TVA and Murray Electric in our continued efforts to grow STEM programs, like the LEGO Robotics team."

The Murray Middle School LEGO Robotics Team will be competing in the RCX ROBO Xtreme Challenge Virtual Regional Competition at the end of March.  Lathan Bustle and Andy Draper ( 8th Grade  ) Team 1,   Owen Martin and Lucas Williams ( 8th Grade ) Team 2, and Jacob Muehleman and Jacob Ridley (7th grade) Team 3.
