Murray High School Speech Team Seniors, Aidan Wild, Marli Mehta, Ayamei Willett and junior Ali Yarali have been recognized as Academic All Americans by the National Speech and Debate Association. These students are recognized for academic rigor, competitive speech and debate success, and personal excellence.

In order to be eligible to receive the award, students must have completed at least five semesters of high school; earned the degree of Superior Distinction in the National Forensic League Honor Society; have a GPA of 3.7 or higher; and demonstrated outstanding character and leadership. From more than 141,000 student members of the National Speech & Debate Association, fewer than 1,000 students earn the Academic All-American Award every year. "This prestigious honor is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and hard work of these students both in the classroom and in competition," said Coach Robinson. "We are incredibly proud of their achievements as they continue to emulate the best in everything they do." The Murray High Speech Team is led by Michael Robinson with assistant coaches Jennifer McCafferty and Drew Thompson.
