After a strong regular season, the Murray High School Quick Recall Team is headed to Chicago to compete in the 2026 National Academic Quiz Tournaments’ Small School National Championship—featuring 154 teams from across the country! The competition will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois.

The Murray High School Counseling Office is proud to announce our 2026 Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) selections (pictured left to right): Vincent D’Ambrosio, Cabot French, Amelia Donnelly, Benjamin Mehta, Wesley Shelby, Masanobu Tomonaga, Edward Utgaard, and Kenny Vu, with alternates Miranda Mathis, Prajna Pathak, Kapri Phelps, and Aiden Castleberry.
The Governor’s School for the Arts is a highly competitive, three-week summer program for rising juniors and seniors, hosted at the University of Kentucky. With more than 1,700 applicants each year, only a select group is chosen for this immersive (and free!) experience featuring master classes, workshops, and performances led by professional artists.

This highly competitive, three-week summer experience gives students the opportunity to take honors-level college courses, grow as leaders, and experience life on a college campus. Even better—graduates earn a four-year in-state tuition scholarship to Murray State and three transferable college credit hours!
We are so proud of these outstanding students and can’t wait to see all they accomplish. Way to represent, Tigers! 🐯💛🖤 #murrayschools

Last night, Murray High Baseball took the field at Johnny Reagan Field — the home of the Murray State Racers baseball — and came away with a sweep over Trigg County High School: Varsity 10-0 and JV 4-2!
This same program made an incredible run to the College World Series last season, putting Murray State Baseball on the national stage and bringing pride to our entire community. What a special opportunity for our Tigers to play where champions compete!
