This meeting is very important as Project Graduation is funded through parent involvement and support. We will be discussing next steps, forming committees, and building leadership to begin planning an event your students will remember!

Our students had an incredible experience participating in Math Day 2026 at Murray State University, a competition featuring two levels of exams based on grade level:
📘 Lower Level Exam (Freshmen & Sophomores)
Topics included algebra, geometry, and mathematical reasoning.
📗 Upper Level Exam (Juniors & Seniors)
Students tackled trigonometry, advanced reasoning, and higher-level math concepts such as calculus, probability, and statistics.
🏆 Awards were given to top individual scorers, teams, and the highest-performing school overall.
🎤 Special Lecture Event
Students also attended the 8th Annual Jesse D. Jones Lecture Series, featuring an inspiring alumni talk by Glenna Buford, Engineering Manager at Oura Ring!
High school students had the chance to ask questions and learn more about careers in mathematics and engineering.

On Thursday, February 5, Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7, various Murray High School Tiger Band members had the honor of participating in the KMEA All-State Band!
The Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) All-State Band is one of the highest achievements a student musician can earn. Students are selected through a highly competitive audition process, representing the very best young musicians from across the entire state.
Being chosen for All-State is a true reflection of talent, dedication, and countless hours of hard work — and it’s an incredible opportunity to rehearse and perform with elite peers and outstanding conductors.
