On Tuesday, February 24, Ms. Carman, Ms. Morris, Ms. Gooch, and Ms. Taylor took a group of Murray High students to Paducah for an exciting visit to the WKCTC campus! 🐯🎓

Students toured the campus and discovered a wide range of career pathways close to home — including nursing, aviation, cosmetology, sonography, dental assisting, health science, and many more opportunities.

WKCTC offers hands-on training and real career skills, and it’s just a short drive from Murray — a great option for students thinking about their future after graduation!

🌟 Murray High School Program Spotlight 🌟
Agriculture Education & FFA

Murray High School is proud to spotlight our Agriculture Education Program and FFA Chapter — a program where students don’t just learn about careers… they experience them.

With 160 active members, Murray FFA continues to grow by giving students hands-on, real-world opportunities in plant science, animal science, veterinary science, and environmental science. Students travel to Murray State University farms, the Hancock Biological Station, and university greenhouses to see agricultural careers in action and connect classroom learning to real professions.

Right here on campus, students work in the greenhouse year-round — growing white oak trees from seed and preparing spring bedding plants for community sale. Through these projects, students learn production, marketing, teamwork, and business management skills that prepare them for both college and the workforce.

🌟 Leadership + Career Readiness
FFA members also participate in leadership conferences, training events, and community outreach, representing Murray High while developing confidence, communication skills, and responsibility.

🤝 Community Connections Matter
Our agriculture program thrives because of strong partnerships with local businesses, agriculture professionals, and community supporters who help students explore future career pathways.

Stay tuned as we continue our Murray High School Program Spotlights, highlighting the outstanding opportunities available to our Tigers! 💛🖤🐯
