Murray High School Speech Team Seniors, Aidan Wild, Marli Mehta, Ayamei Willett and junior Ali Yarali have been recognized as Academic All Americans by the National Speech and Debate Association. These students are recognized for academic rigor, competitive speech and debate success, and personal excellence. To be eligible to receive the award, students must have completed at least five semesters of high school; earned the degree of Superior Distinction in the National Forensic League Honor Society; have a GPA of 3.7 or higher; and demonstrated outstanding character and leadership. From more than 141,000 student members of the National Speech and Debate Association, fewer than 1,000 students earn the Academic All-American Award every year. "This prestigious honor is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and hard work of these students both in the classroom and in competition," said Coach Mike Robinson. "We are incredibly proud of their achievements as they continue to emulate the best in everything they do." The Murray High Speech Team is led by Michael Robinson with assistant coaches Jennifer McCafferty and Drew Thompson.

Murray Middle School future fourth grade students were able to gain an inside look at entering fourth grade. Students visited MMS and participated in a scavenger hunt to introduce them to teachers, classrooms, and information for their new home this fall.

Congratulations to Macy Saylor, MHS Senior and member of the MHS Lady Tigers Golf team headed to Transylvania University to play golf. A special signing ceremony was held for Macy today inside MHS Taylor Gymnasium.
