Last night, the Murray Tiger Boys Basketball Team defeated Webster County 60–53 to claim the 2A Sectional Championship!
The Tigers advance to play next week on January 16 in Owensboro at 10:30 a.m., taking on the winner of CAL / DeSales.
We are so proud of our Tigers and all of their hard work and dedication. On to the next!

🎄🐅 What a FIRST semester, Murray High Tigers! 🐅🎄
From the jump, August 7, Murray High has been winning and succeeding every single day. We earned national recognition as one of America’s Healthiest Schools and ranked in the top 3% of high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, while achieving a BLUE rating on KSA assessments and celebrating FOUR National Merit Semifinalists.
Our Tigers dominated in competition—2A Boys Soccer State Champions with an undefeated regular season, 3A Football Regional Champions, also undefeated with a trip to the state finals, repeat Cross Country regional champion, and standout season in volleyball. Our golf program produced 2A state qualifiers and three individual state tournament appearances, and our award-winning band captured another state championship, competed nationally, and earned countless individual honors.
Beyond the field and stage, our clubs thrived, service projects made a real impact, and we celebrated ROAR winners, Tiger Pride honorees, Rotary Students of the Month, FFA award winners, Educators Rising, Speech team success, Leadership Tomorrow, KYA recognitions, ATC’s Mistletoe Marketplace, and another hugely successful Tiger Christmas for our community.
Thank you to our students, staff, families, alumni, and partners who invest in Murray High School. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a well-earned, relaxing break.
