Pearson's AIMSWeb 1.0 Data Compromised

News Tiger Paw

Dear Parent:

We have been contacted by Pearson's AIMSweb 1.0 that student and account administrator data stored in Pearson's AIMSweb 1.0 platform has been compromised. While we do not have any evidence that this information has been misused, we want to bring this to your attention and are currently addressing this matter within the Murray Independent School District. The student data affected is limited to directory information, as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), including first and last name, and in some instances, date of birth and email address. No grade or assessment information was affected in this incident, and the AIMSweb 1.0 platform does not contain Social Security numbers, credit card data, or other financial information.

Complimentary credit monitoring services from Experian is available for affected individuals. While there is no evidence that this information has been misused, we are providing this option for those who wish to enroll as a precautionary measure. If you would like to receive further information about your data, or for any other questions about this matter please call 866-883-3309.

Sincerely,
