MISD Stakeholders,
Today, my office was informed of one positive COVID-19 case involving an employee of the Murray Independent School District. The individual is employed at Murray Elementary School.
I was also notified of seven positive student cases of COVID-19. Six enrolled at Murray Middle School and the other at Murray Elementary School.
Contact tracing has been completed by our school health coordinator with assistance from the Calloway County Health Department.
Individuals who are considered a close contact have been notified.
Murray Independent Schools will continue to update COVID-19 information as it becomes available.
