Optional Mask Mandate Begins Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Murray Schools

Mask Optional Beginning Friday, February 18, 2022

February 17, 2022

MISD Families & Stakeholders,

Beginning Friday, February 18, 2022, students PS-12, staff, and outside visitors will have the option of wearing masks or face coverings at school and on district property.  Masks or face coverings are highly recommended for staff and students who are not fully vaccinated. Per federal mandate, face masks/coverings are required when using school transportation.

MISD encourages everyone eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine to strongly consider and partake after consultation with your healthcare provider.  The vaccine is our best defense for a safe and healthy school year.  You can find where to receive the vaccine locally here:   https://www.vaccines.gov/search/

Daily Symptoms Check

The MISD COVID-19 Daily Self Checklist should be used by all students, staff, volunteers, and visitors each day before entering MISD buses/schools/buildings. The self-check is available here:  https://bit.ly/MISDselfcheck

If you have questions please contact your child’s school.

On a regular basis, Murray Independent Schools will continue to monitor COVID-19 data and guidance from local, state, and national health sources.

Thank you,

Coy D. Samons, Superintendent

Murray Independent School District
