Freshmen 101 Tour at MHS for MMS 8th Grade Students

Freshmen 101 Tour for MMS 8th Grade Students

Murray Middle School eighth grade students visited Murray High School for a Freshmen 101 tour.

During the tour MHS student ambassadors served as tour guides and introduced students to numerous classrooms, academics, clubs and organizations, the Auxiliary and Taylor Gymnasiums, and the cafeteria.  Students were also able to meet elective teachers, and introductions to the Tiger Den and locations of bathrooms were included in the tour.  “It was a great opportunity to have eighth grade students at the high school. This is the second Freshmen 101 tour we have provided and it definitely enhances the eighth grade transition to high school,” said Toree McMain, MHS school counselor.

Students also tour the Murray/Calloway Area Technology Center and were introduced to the numerous programs offered and the registration/scheduling process.

"We are so excited about the Class of 2027 coming to join Murray High School.  Touring and meeting with them is a great step in eliminating concerns as they transition to High School," said Tony Jarvis, MHS principal.
