Letters to MISD K-12 students were sent home this week with details on how your household may automatically qualify for a $30 monthly discount on your home or mobile internet service through the Federal Communications Commission Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). You may also be eligible for a one-time discount of $100 for a laptop, desktop or tablet purchased through a participating provider if you pay more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
Claim your benefits now and get connected: To apply, go to https://www.affordableconnectivity.gov/ to complete an application and submit it online or print it out and mail with a copy of this letter as documentation verifying eligibility. You may also call 1-877-384-2575 to request an application. (Only one student is needed to complete the application if you have multiple children.)
