MISD Volunteer Reception for Volunteers Tuesday, April 16, 2024

Thank You Volunteers

The Murray District has had an organized volunteer program for 30 years and it continues to grow with nearly 700 community and in-kind services.

The Murray Independent School District is appreciative of the 538 Volunteers who assist our Black and Gold district each and every day. The Murray Independent/Calloway County Community Education Program is one of the most successful in Kentucky, averaging 23,000 to 30,000 volunteer hours each year.

The 2023-2024 MISD volunteers logged 23,761 hours through numerous programs and initiatives: Murray Elementary School (2,688), Murray Middle School (380), Murray Preschool-Head Start (2,784), Murray High School (200), MISD Athletics (2,500), MHS and MMS Band (11,700), Academic Clubs (1,500), and Booster Club (2,009).

In Recognition of National Volunteer Recognition Week (April 7-14) we salute our Volunteers! A reception for our volunteers will be held on the MISD campus at Murray Elementary and Murray Middle campuses from 9 a.m.-Noon. Sponsored by Dumplins of Murray stop by these locations and enjoy refreshments in honor of your dedication and service!
