Murray High School Names Nine Students As 2024 Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP) Recipients

MHS Names 2024 GSP Recipients

 

The Murray High School Guidance Office announced the 2024 Murray (MHS) Kentucky Governor's Scholar Program (GSP) Recipients: (photo front row from left): Amolike Chanda, Leah Jenkins, Marli Mehta, Madelyn Myers, Allison Vonnahme, and Ayamei Willet. (back row from left): William Imes, Preston Key, and Kerry Vu have been selected as the 2024 recipients of the summer residential program for outstanding Kentucky high school students who are rising seniors. Over 2,000 applications are received at the state level each year, with approximately 1,000 students selected to attend.

This year's Governor Scholars will meet at one of three Kentucky universities this summer for the five-week program at one of the following sites: Centre College, Morehead State University, and Murray State University.

Chanda is the daughter of Rupkatha Bardhan, and Diptiman Chanda, Jenkins is the daughter of Jaynie Kruger, and Thomas Jenkins, Mehta is the daughter of Jay and Erica Mehta, Vonnahme is the daughter of Richard and Deanna Vonnahme, Willet is the daughter of Kimberly and Theoden Willet, Imes is the son of Matt and Wendy Imes, Key is the son of Paul Key and Christine Scarbrough-Key, Vu is the son of Ngoc Bui, and Binh Vu.
