Murray, Ky., April 25, 2025, 2025------Murray State University Commonwealth Honors Academy announced five Murray High School juniors selected for their three-week 2025 summer academic enrichment program.  Murray High School 2024 (CHA) Recipients Gavin Gorman, Madelyn Sugg, Kailyn Lutz, Xiomara Krotova, and Aubrey Robinson

The Commonwealth Honors Academy is a three-week academic enrichment experience held every June on Murray State University’s main campus in Murray, KY. Students will live on campus, while taking college-level honors classes and participate in fun activities and seminars to help students grow personally and socially.

Aside from academics, CHA provides the opportunity to make friends with intelligent, enthusiastic, and energetic students from different areas and with different backgrounds.  Students earn three hours of college credits and a four-year full tuition scholarship to Murray State University, provided certain qualifications are maintained.

While there, students will live in a residence hall with a roommate, utilize campus dining locations, and learn how to navigate campus just like a regular Murray State student.

Additionally, students will be introduced to what it’s like to take honors courses at the college level.

Gorman is the son of Stephanie Rea and Kurt Gorman. Sugg is the daughter of Amber and Micah Sugg.  Lutz is the daughter Joe and Jessica Lutz. Krotova is the daughter of Pitzel Krotova and Vladyslav Krotov. Robinson is the daughter of Brad and Deanna Robinson.
